Muhammad Abdul is a visual artist and printmaker based in Karachi, Pakistan. Abdul realised his passion for the visual arts upon joining The Indus Valley School of Art and Architecture as a staff member in the cafe. He began his training as a technician in the printmaking studio after leaving his job at the cafe and was simultaneously mentored by the Fine Arts faculty to further develop his skills. He then began to experiment with different printmaking techniques to explore his own personal style and kick started his career by selling his prints and using the proceeds to curate his first solo show.

Abdul has now sold his work internationally and has had multiple solo and group shows. He specialises in etching and woodcut techniques, while the subjects of his work revolve around animals, flora and fauna. He studies different animals within his surroundings and creates fictional narratives around their interactions which are then depicted in his prints. He is currently working on a series of new prints in preparation for his next solo exhibition.
