Singaporean Chilli Crab Tote Bag
Illustrated by Radia Durrani, this off-white canvas tote bag is inspired by a popular Singaporean seafood dish, the chilli crab. The dish consists of mud crabs deep-fried in a sweet, savory and spicy gravy.
The inside of the bag is lined with red Singaporean batik cloth. Batik is the art of wax-resistant dye on fabrics to create motifs and designs in several colours. This traditional method of dyeing is followed in countries like Singapore, Indonesia and Malaysia. Batik is also infused in the traditional sarong kebaya worn as the Singapore Airlines uniform.
Care Instructions: Hand wash only. No bleach.
