Single Floating Lotus Necklace - Odd Bird Art
The ‘Floating Lotus' necklace features a single lotus at its centre, knotted together using a hand-crafted cotton thread, Patwa. The shaded finish on the lotus depicts the action of a lotus coming out of the mud.
This line of jewellery titled ‘Maya and Monsoon’ is heavily inspired by the lotus flower which plays a sacred role in Buddhist philosophy and religions such as Hinduism and Jainism. It is often seen as a symbol of purity, resilience and rebirth as the flower rises from the mud at the break of dawn and returns to the murky water at night without any stains on its petals.
